The successful candidate will have:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of IL (RN or LPN);Professional certifications or degrees in one of the following areas; activities and recreation, art or music therapy, occupational therapy, leisure programs, or community engagement (equivalent work experience will be considered);Minimum two (2) years of experience working with geriatric patients, specifically those living with Alzheimer's and dementia;Display a professional attitude and appearance at all time;Experience in staff training, mentorship, and ability to motivate teams to achieve successful outcomes;Must be comfortable in a leadership role, overseeing, and implementing a dementia care program with the assistance of other care staff; and,Must be comfortable speaking in groups, specifically for family/community education and outreach.
